Error while configuring the Jira connector in DWP Catalog

    PROBLEM:

    Error while configuring the Jira connector

    [ERROR (8790): Unknown system error.; Failed to create connection for a connector null]

     


    CAUSE:

    Issue with connector .jar file


    SOLUTION:

    1.Run to OSGI console
    2.run SS

    3.uninstall <JiraID>
    4.disconnect
    5.Open the opt/bmc/ARSystem/db/arstartup_trace-<LATEST_DATE>.log file

    It will have an entry about the Jira bundle stopped. This step is just to check if that is stopped.

    6.Copy the old connector from /opt/bmc/ARSystem/deployedsmartbundles into a backup folder.
    7.Copy the new connector to /opt/bmc/ARSystem/deploy folder
    8.Open the opt/bmc/ARSystem/db/arstartup_trace-<LATEST_DATE>.log file

    It will have an entry about the Jira bundle started.

    9.Relogin into SBE
    10.Test the issue

    Note:- If you see this issue then, please get the latest working Jira connector jar from the working environment
