    PROBLEM:

How to report on root nodes such as Hosts that could not be synchronized to the CMDB?

    SOLUTION:

In the Discovery UI, go to Explore > Reports. The report "Hosts and other devices that failed last CMDB sync" shows Hosts, Network Devices and other root device types that were not successfully synchronized with the CMDB on the most recent attempt.

    Reference : https://docs.bmc.com/docs/discovery/113/reporting-basics-788111596.html

Also, a report about CMDB sync failures can be found here :
    - Administration > CMDB Sync
    - Click on the desired CMDB connection
    - Go to the "Status" tab
    - Click on "Devices that failed last CMDB sync".

It's also possible to run a query like the following:

      search Host where last_cmdb_sync_success < last_cmdb_sync_failure show last_cmdb_sync_success, last_cmdb_sync_failure, summary

(Host can be replaced by other root nodes such as NetworkDevice or Mainframe as appropriate.)
