TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse (TSSA-DW) - 4_UPDATE_CUSTOM_PROPERTY step of ETL fails javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException error in update_custom_property.log

    PROBLEM:

    The TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse (TSSA-DW) ETL job fails in the 4_UPDATE_CUSTOM_PROPERTY step with the following generic error message:
     

    Some Exception occured.Please refer BDS_HOME/logs/update_custom_property/etl/update_custom_property.log for more details
      
    The referenced   update_custom_property.log file contains the following error:

       
    [ERROR] Some Exception occurred.sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: java.security.cert.CertPathBuilderException: Could not build a validated path.  [ERROR] javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: java.security.cert.CertPathBuilderException: Could not build a validated path.
      
    ETL error
      

     


    CAUSE:

    Mismatch certificates between TSSA-DW and TSSR


    SOLUTION:

    Database Handshake is not happening between TSSA-DW and TSSR applications due to mismatching certificates when both installed on the same server. (typical deployment)

    Please follow the steps from below document to import certificates for TSSR.
