    PRODUCT:

    TrueSight Presentation Server

    COMPONENT:

    TSPS Server

    PROBLEM:

When starting up TSPS 11.3.0.3 secondary node by running "tssh server start" command, the start up fails with the below error:

    Error:
Remote HA node tsps1.bmc.com is up and running. Starting the copysnapshot command from tsps1.bmc.com to tsps2.bmc.com...
Copysnapshot command failed, shutting down the server.

The issue occurred after upgrading from TSPS 11.3.0.1 to 11.3.0.3. Primary server is starting up without issue.

In the db-remote-copy.log, you will see the following error:
pg_basebackup: could not connect to server: FATAL:  no pg_hba.conf entry for replication connection from host "xx.xx.xxx.xx", user "dbuser", SSL off

where xx.xx.xxx.xx is the secondary node IP Address

    SOLUTION:

Ensure that the Primary ph_hba.conf must match the first entry in DNS for the IP Address used to connect from secondary or from the local hosts file.
    Example:
    HOSTS file:
    123.45.67.2 tsps1.bmc.com tsps1.adprod.bmc.com tsps1
    132.54.76.3 tsps2.bmc.com tsps2.adprod.bmc.com tsps2

    Primary pg_hba.conf:
    hostnossl replication dbadmin tsps1.bmc.com trust
    hostnossl replication dbadmin tsps2.bmc.com trust
