Remedy - AR System Server - AR server restart is taking more than 20 mins due to License Tracking enabled

    PROBLEM:

    AR Server user facing servers are taking more than 20 minutes to startup. Clearing bundle-cache does not help.

    CAUSE:

    License Tracking is enabled and AR System Historical License Usage form contained 109 million records.


    SOLUTION:

    During initialization AR Server makes a check to AR System Current License Usage form. If there are any records then copies them to AR System Historical License Usage form and deletes from AR System Current License Usage form.
    Due to Historical License Usage form having millions of records, AR Server searches this table for existing records before copying over and this can take some time showing this behavior.

    Perform the following:
    1- Backup AR System Historical License Usage form.
    2- Truncate the table.
    3- Restart  AR System.
