The ETL runs and finishes successfully, the problem is that it creates a new entity with the tag in an environment with multiple lookup values, however, none of the existing entities gets tagged accordingly.

When creating a Tag parser ETL, you have to take into consideration whether the environment has multiple lookup values for the entities you wan to tag, so if there are multiple ETLs importing data (like Vmware ETL and VIS Parser ETL), make sure the input file contains STRONGLOOKUPFIELDS AND WEAKLOOKUPFIELDS properly defined on the file. See KA 000025065: Single lookup vs. Multiple lookup in BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization ETLs

If intention to create tags on existing entities, the ETL automatically created entities that do not match chosen lookup values. If you don't want that, you can edit the ETL run configuration, switch to Advanced mode and set "Loader Configuration -> Skip entity creation" to true.

Ensure ETLs are all sharing the same entity catalog.

This would be an example of a tag that creates a tag name, description and tag environment on the entity:

**Make sure the values on field "TAG" don't contain spaces as this is not supported in tag names.

-When adding multiple tags to a server, need to add new line as per below example:

    - When adding tag for Physical Server which has system type as Generic, which has no strong lookup available in view lookup, use 'gen' as ENTTYPENM in csv tag file.
