    DETAILS:

     

    This article provides detailed supplemental documentation for customer upgrades using the AMIGO program (KA 000141384).

      

    Note: AMIGO assistance relies on precise information unique to each, the AMIGO program is intended to provide assistance upgrading production environments only.  Upgrades for other environments will be treated on a Break/Fix basis.
     

      

    It is the customer's responsibility to inform and ask BMC Technical Support for details concerning their current and intended installation.  BMC Technical Support will make recommendations to the customer based on customer feedback.  BMC Technical Support will also provide information for special considerations concerning the customer's environment and installation (such as use of Oracle partitioning, migration of custom views, availability of certain key features, etc.) in order to make the customer ready to upgrade.
     

      


    WORKFLOW

      

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

      

    AMIGO: Starter 

      

    1) Customer requests Upgrade assistance.  AMIGO Program appropriateness determined per KA 000141384.  Case is opened and AMIGO: Starter is added to the subject line of the case.
    2) Customer provides goes through Upgrade Guide steps for the version of their choice (TSCO 10.7.x 20.02 available).  Guides are available on KA 000141384 and on this one.
    3) Sizing documents on KA 000152366 requested and provided to BMC Technical Support.  A detailed sizing document will be provided back to the customer as provided by Engineering.
    4) Customer follows through steps listed in guide, which provides documentation about installation prerequisites and requirements.
    5) Customer provides BMC Technical Support with questions based on upgrade guide and documentation review.  Answers should be framed in light of the customer upgrade plans with the intent of moving the customer into developing an upgrade plan for their Implementation.
    6) Once the customer feels ready to develop their plan or if there are no further questions AMIGO: Starter case can be closed.

     

      

    AMIGO: Implementation

    Follows an AMIGO: Starter case.  The implementation phase is is intended for: 

      

    1) Reviewing the customer generated Implementation plan 
    2) Addressing of install related questions during the install day or days 
    3) AMIGO: Implementation is appropriate once the customer has servers/vms procured and is ready to run the installers.  
    4) Implementation is intended only to get a functioning environment running.  For questions about customizing after installation, a new case should be opened.

          For this upgrade, please use the BMC AMIGO TSCO 11.5 Upgrade Guide available in KA      000141384  
    •  
    •     
          For upgrading to TSCO 11.5, it is critical to take note of the order of the install, which requires Remedy Single Sign On and TrueSight Presentation Server to be installed and configured before installing TSCO 11.5.   
    •  
    •     
          Remedy SSO (RSSO) replaces Atrium SSO (ASSO) as a supported Single Sign On platform.   
    •  
    •     
          If migrating from 10.7, it is recommended first to upgrade to 10.7.01 in most cases to preserve custom view formats.  
    •  
    •     
          Custom views from earlier versions must be migrated prior to upgrade or they will be lost.  
    •  
    •     
          RSSO & TSPS  need to be installed on their own servers/VMs prior to install of TSCO 11.5.  Please refer to the following documents for details of installing RSSO and TSPS.   
         
      Note : RSSO is only creating a self-signed certificate which is only valid for 90 days. The certificate created for ASSO is valid for 10 years.

    2. Before upgrade to 11.3.01 make a note of Aging Class Mapping. Because post upgrade it is possible that Standard is moved from MEDIUM to LONG retention, as you can see from the red mark below.
