    QUESTION:

What could be the cause of error message 'ECS3000 Server internal error - Type24' when attempting to view the sysout of a Control-M for z/OS job from the Enterprise Manager History domain?

Scenario can be replicated as follows:

    1) Using Enterprise Manager select the History Domain.

    2) Select the Output option for a job that has ended to view the sysout.

    ANSWER:

To be able to view the sysout of a job, the job entry has to exist either in the mainframe Active Jobs File or the History Active Jobs File (option 3.HI), so:

    1) View of the IOALOG from Enterprise Manager looks at IOALOG on the mainframe, so you need to ensure that data is kept for enough time to satisfy these requests.

    2) View sysout is only available if the job is still on the Active Jobs File OR is HIST=Y is enabled and the job is on the History Active Jobs File (option 3.HI).
