    QUESTION:

For Discovery version 11.2 and earlier, why is the isVirtual field in the CMDB not being set for any NetworkDevice nodes?

    ANSWER:

In Discovery 11.3, a feature was added to correctly identify if Network Devices are virtual, and include the isVirtual field in syncmappings for NetworkDevice nodes. In version 11.2 and earlier, the network devices did not have the "virtual" attribute set in Discovery, and the isVirtual field was not included in the syncmappings .

This feature is mentioned in the 11.3 enhancements page: https://docs.bmc.com/docs/discovery/113/11-3-enhancements-788109949.html

Look for the section titled "Virtual Network Devices".
