After installing the App Visibility Portal, App Visibility Collector, and/or App Visibility Proxy, how does one change the IP address on these components?
The App Visibility Portal, App Visibility Collector, and App Visibility Proxy components do not utilize the IP address for communications.
During the installation of the App Visibility Portal, App Visibility Collector, and/or App Visibility Proxy components, the installation program will ask to enter the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) instead of the IP address. Once the installation has been completed, the App Visibility components will utilize the FQDN when communicating with the other TrueSight components as long as the FQDN is valid in the DNS server.
Note: If one of these App Visibility components uses the FQDN as server address then changing the IP address (static or dynamic) would not affect the component.
