    QUESTION:

How to determine if Silk Performer 19.5 Hotfix 5 is installed on a Windows operating system?

    ANSWER:

On the server with Silk Performer installed, go to the \Program Files (x86)\Silk\Silk Performer xx.x directory, and look for the following files:

    sgExecManager.dll
    perfLtc.dll
    perfrun.exe
    perBrowserHost_x86.exe
    Performer.exe

Then right click on each of the above files, select Properties, and click the Details tab.  The ‘Product version’ property field should state “19.5 HF5”.

As a note, Silk Performer version 19.5 should be running with the BMC Synthetic Transaction Execution Adapter (TEA) Agent version 11.3.02.  On the server with the TEA Agent installed, go to the \Program Files (x86)\BMC Software\BMCTEAAgent\TEAAgent directory, and look for the file called BMCTEAAgent.exe. Then right click on the file, select Properties, and click the Details tab.  The ‘Product version’ property field should state “11.3.02 bxx” where “xx” is the product build number.
