    PRODUCT:

TrueSight Synthetic Transaction Monitor with Micro Focus Silk Performer

    COMPONENT:

TrueSight Synthetic Monitor with Borland Silk Performer

    APPLIES TO:

    TEA Agent - All Versions

    PROBLEM:

Borland Silk Performer Script running on Transaction Execution Adapter(TEA) Agent gives this error - CitrixInit(CitrixEngine: 43 - Startup failed, Failed to start the core)

    SOLUTION:

If existing Citrix processes are running before the Citrix script is running on the Transaction Execution Adapter(TEA) Agent then the TEA Agent will not be able to control the Citrix processes when running the Citrix script.

To resolve this issue, all the Citrix processes need to be stopped when the TEA Agent is stopped. This will ensure that when the TEA Agent starts the Citrix processes and it will have all the permissions it needs to run the script correctly.

Also make sure that the Citrix receiver version is supported with the version of Silk performer used to record the script.

Ex - Citrix Workspace is not supported in Silk Performer 17.5

Please see BMC KA 000149477 for best practices on Citrix scripts.
