    PROBLEM:

     

    Security scanner utilities discovered the following severity security vulnerabilities on TCP port number 19201, which is used by Silk Performer 19.5.0.8163 HF3:

    SSL RC4 Cipher Suites Supported (Bar Mitzvah)
    SSL Medium Strength Cipher Suites Supported
    SSL Version 2 and 3 Protocol Detection

    How does one address these security vulnerabilities?

     


    SOLUTION:

     

    These security vulnerabilities have been addressed in Silk Performer 19.5 Hotfix 4.  However, it is recommended to download and install Silk Performer 19.5 Hotfix 5 from the BMC EPD site as it is the latest Silk Performer hotfix version.

    Note: Silk Performer 19.5 Hotfix 5 contains all of the fixes from the previous Silk Performer 19.5 Hotfixes.
