    PRODUCT:

    Control-M Managed File Transfer

    COMPONENT:

    Control-M/CM for Advanced File Transfer

    APPLIES TO:

Control-M Managed File Transfer (MFT) 9.0.00 Control-M/CM for Advanced File Transfer (AFT) 8.2.00

    PROBLEM:

When the PGP decrypt fails after Control-M Managed File Transfer retrieves the file, only the message "Failed to execute PGP command!" is printed in the job output.
The output of the PGP command is missing so the actual reason of the failure cannot be determined from the job output.

    CAUSE:

CAR00129788 (MFT) and CAR00141363 (AFT): No Information about PGP decrypt command in job output

    SOLUTION:

    CAR00129788 fixed in MFT v9.0.18.200

    CAR00141363 fixed in AFT v8.2.00.200

The only way to obtain the pgp command output is to enable debug level 5 on the Agent (by running the command "agdbglvl 5", and then running the job.
The ctmaft.log file in the Agent proclog directory then contains the output (look for the string "Printing Log file content").
Once complete, turn off debug with the command:  agdbglvl 0
