MainView Batch Optimizer
MainView Batch Optimizer Job Optimizer component SUBZERO Interface
Job steps executed within a batch job defined in the Job Optimizer Job Policy JOBPOL00 member with an ACTION of DIRECT to use the SUBZERO interface were incorrectly executed on the HOME submitting system instead of the TARGET system.
TARGET System not available.
To ensure a batch job step executing a program defined to be DIRECTED to a TARGET system using the SUBZERO Interface the Job Optimizer SUBZERO MODE parameter must be set to FAIL; as illustrated below.
Enter MainView Batch Optimizer product command below using a System console or TSO LOGON using SDSF or equivalent software:
Job Optimizer SUBZERO Interface command:
bcssid BSL SUBZERO ENABLE FAIL
NOTE: bcssid = MainView Batch Optimizer Subsystem ID. MBOS is the default Subsystem ID.
After entering the above command; the message below will be displayed within the System SYSLOG and the MainView Batch Optimizer Subsystem job log. The default Subsystem started task member name is MBOBCSS.

FAIL issues an informational message explaining why the step failed to split.
If the batch job can not be executed on the TARGET system; the batch job will receive a Job Optimizer U2400 ABEND. If TARGET system is not available; the Job Optimizer message below is issued within the batch job output listing:

The messages below are written in the Job Optimizer Summary Report within job output listing of the failed batch job.
