    PRODUCT:

    TrueSight App Visibility Agent

    COMPONENT:

    App Visibility Agent for Java

    APPLIES TO:

    App Visibility Agent for Java - all versions App Visibility Agent for .Net - all versions

    PROBLEM:

    Transactions appear under the UNKNOWN_APPLICATIONS.  How can the transactions be forced to appear under a different application name?

    SOLUTION:

    To change the name of the UNKNOWN_APPLICATION to something different, please follow the below steps:

    In each agent policy is the following setting:

    fallback.application.name=UNKNOWN_APPLICATION

    This forces all transactions that are unknown to be placed in the UNKNOWN_APPLICATION.

    This is a possible solution if  all the transactions in the UNKNOWN_APPLICATION need to go to a specific application name, but are not getting mapped correctly.  For instance, all RMI/Cobra/EJB transactions will always go to the UNKNOWN_APPLICATION.
