    PRODUCT:

    COMPONENT:

    ALL Modules

    APPLIES TO:

    Secure HMC

    QUESTION:

In MainView Console Management, SecureHMC, it is specified in our documentation that we need to connect to the HMC's configured "Server URI".  But what if there is no Server URI configured in their HMC?

    ANSWER:

If "Server URI" is not specifically listed in the customer's HMC configuration, Server URI can be compiled as follows: "Server URI" can be the combined: the server hostname, encrypted/not encrypted, and port (if not standard) information.

An example would be:  The Server URI is "ldaps://working.nebraskastate.us" if the server host name is
working.nebraskastate.us and the port is the standard 636.  If the port is the non-standard 999, then the Server URI would be ldaps://working.nebraskastate.us:999
