    APPLIES TO:

    Remedy AR System Server

    PROBLEM:

In 18.x and 19.x environments with non English locale the ARS logs show the AR messages mixed in English and the locale language.
This behavior is not observed back in the 8.1.x versions.

    Example from a German environment:
    Arerror.log

Having set ARS Lang to the relevant language has no effect.
The Operating System is also a non english language but still showing the same behavior.

    CAUSE:

Language is catered by some 3rd party JARS and also as hardcoded in the code.

    SOLUTION:

As part of the code transition from C to Java AR server, the messages that appear in arerror / armonitor log come from different resources/ files.
Few of them are Language specific as they come from the language specific messages files.
Others mainly are hard coded in the Java code / Third Party Jars. So, not all messages can be converted to the specific locale.
