    QUESTION:

How to install and setup a Postgres Database as HA for RSSO (Internal Only)?

    ANSWER:

This document provides the steps to implement RSSO Database High Availability for the Postgresql database.   This document details the following:

    Architecture Overview.

    1. Installation of Postgresql database (Windows and Linux).
    2.
    3. Configuring database replication (Windows and Linux).
    4.
    5. Verifying database replication (Windows and Linux).
    6.
    7. Steps to failover from primary database to standby database (Windows and Linux)..
    8.
    9. Steps to rebuild the primary database after a failover (Windows and Linux)..
    10.
    11. Steps to install RSSO with external HA Postgresql database (Windows and Linux)..
Note:  Postgresql does not provide an automatic failover mechanism as a result we do not document how to configure the automatic failover in this document.  The customer has to implement the automatic failover if that is desired.  There are many 3  rd party  products that provide this functionality that the customer can choose from.
