    QUESTION:

    How to define user AOI Exits to coexist with the BMC AOI exits.

    ANSWER:

    You can add an AOE user exit routines to be executed in addition to the BMC exits by modifying the BBPARM IMFSYS00 member. Please keep in mind that the BMC user exit routines must be named DFSAOE00 and DFSAOEU0. Any user exit routine must be renamed to something else, e.g. DFSAOE01.

    Here are a few examples for specifying user exit DFSAOE01 in BBPARM member IMFSYS00:
    In this example, BMC exit IELOAD will be called first, then user exit DFSAOE01. The default is that the last exit sets the RC for IMS, so in this case RC will be set by DFSAOE01.
    AOEEXIT=IELOAD
    AOEEXIT=DFSAOE01

    In this example, the order is the same - BMC exit IELOAD will be called first, then user exit DFSAOE01. However, the RC will be set by BMC exit IELOAD because RC is explicitly specified on the AOEEXIT parameter.
    AOEEXIT=(IELOAD,RC)
    AOEEXIT=DFSAOE01

    In this example, BMC exit IELOAD will be called last after user exit DFSAOE01. IELOAD will set the RC for IMS since it is the last exit called.
    AOEEXIT=DFSAOE01
