    Table Select Issue

    CAUSE:

    View Form's Key Entry is not Unique.

    SOLUTION:

    When the row selection property is not working in a Table field, we have to validate the data source from where we are pulling this information:

    If we are pulling data from a View form (With a View created from Remedy AR System DB or external DB) we need to validate that the Key Entry selected in this View form is Unique and has 15 characters or less

    In order to validate the Key Entry, you can follow the next steps:

    A) From Midtier side:
    1.- Open the View form directly in Midtier.
    2.- Search for all entries.
    3.- Validate all Request ID column entries.

    B) From DB Side (Remedy AR System DB):
    1.- Connect to your DB.
    2.- Find the View Form schema id:

      2.1) SELECT SCHEMAID FROM ARADMIN.ARSCHEMA WHERE NAME = '   <ViewFormName>';
    2.2) SELECT * FROM ARADMIN.T   <Schema_ID>;

    3.- Validate all data entries are unique for column C1:
    SELECT C1, COUNT(C1) FROM ARADMIN.T  <Schema_ID> GROUP BY C1 HAVING COUNT(C1) > 1;

    *Where   C1 is the column name for the Key Entry in a View Form.

    In both cases, validate that the Entry ID is unique. In case these entries are not unique, contact your DB administrator / AR System administrator in order to correct these values or select a unique Entry ID when first creating a View form.
