    PRODUCT:

    Control-M JCL Verify

    COMPONENT:

    Control-M JCL Verify

    APPLIES TO:

Control-M JCL Verify 9.0.18 and higher. Control-M/Enterprise Manager 9.0.18 and higher

    PROBLEM:

    - Unable to activate/use Control-M JCL Verify function as it is greyed out on the Control-M/Enterprise Manager GUI Client.
    - This is the screen shot of the "Verify JCL" function being not available:

    Verify JCL Greyed Out

    CAUSE:

Control-M for z/OS job and folder is checked out in a Workspace or Control-M JCL Verify is not installed or active on Control-M for z/OS or CTMCAS STC has not been implemented/started.

    SOLUTION:

    Do verify the below:

    - Control-M JCL Verify is installed on Control-M for z/OS.
Use the IOA ONLINE INFO command to display the active components.
Check that there is a line specifying: CONTROL-M/JCL Verify

    - Control-M JCL Verify Local Monitor is active.
The default STC name is CTJMON, it can be modified locally to match local naming convention.
On z/OS, in MVS SYSLOG, search for the message displayed when CTJMON starts : CTJM01I
CTJM01I CONTROL-M/JCL VERIFY MONITOR            IS READY TO HANDLE REQUESTS

    - Added on 30/03/2020 - The Control-M Configuration Manager Application Server (CTMCAS) address space must have been implemented and should be running.
It will make the link with the corresponding running CTJMON Monitor.

    - In order for the "Verify JCL" option to be available on Planning Domain on Control-M/Enterprise Manager GUI, the Control-M Folder and Job that need to be "JCL Verify" must be "Checked In".
If the Control-M Folder and Job is "Checked Out" in any workspace, the "Verify JCL" icon will be grayed out (Not available).
