Remedy Smart Reporting 19.08 installation fails with external tomcat 8.0.36, 9.0.21 and 9.0.24

    PROBLEM:

    Install the Smart Reporting 19.08 with external Apache Tomcat 8.0.36, 9.0.21 and 9.0.24 .
    Installation will fail with below error

    LOG EVENT {Description=[ERRROR : Error returned by SmartReporting process ::],Detail=[Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException
    at java.util.AbstractList.remove(Unknown Source)
    at com.hof.installer.Installer.loadDatabases(Installer.java:838)
    at com.hof.installer.Installer.initialise(Installer.java:411)
    at com.hof.installer.Installer.main(Installer.java:783)]}

     


    CAUSE:

    Unknown


    SOLUTION:

    This has been identified as a defect SW00561808 and HF is available . Please contact BMC Support more details.

    Note :HF is nothing but full build installer and user needs to install the application by using this fix.
