    The TrueSight Capacity Optimization (TSCO) Software Updates System Task is reporting the following error the Diagnostic Alerts each day:

    BCO_WEB_WARN305: Unable to retrieve the latest software updates.Cannot connect to remote host Connection timed out (Connection timed out)




    That means that there is a firewall that blocking the ability of the "Software Updates" system task to contact via the FTP protocol to check for updates to the Cloud Catalogs Public Cloud Catalogs and download them.

    There are two options:
      (A) Work with your network team to change your corporate firewall settings to allow the TSCO Application Server to access the BMC FTP site using the FTP protocol
      (B) Disable the automatic execution of the "Software Updates" system task

    Updates to the Cloud Catalogs are also being made via the installation of the latest Cumulative Hot Fix (CHF) packages for environments that don't have the ability to download updates automatically.  So, you can disable the Software Updates system task (Administration -> System -> ETL & System Tasks -> Select the "Software Updates" -> Click the 'Unschedule' button) and still get updates to the catalogs when you install the latest CHF packages.
