TrueSight Middleware and Transaction Monitor: Unable to access Monitor Console, getting error messages about Topic Service or Event Service not running even though the processes are up

    QUESTION:

    Attempts to access the Monitor Console fail with issues like "Event Service is not running" or Topic Service is not running".

    Seeing thousands of messages like the ones below in qpts.log:
    (Time:2019-01-01 01:01:01.000001, Category=com.mqsoftware.ObjectManager, File=qp_object_manager.cpp, Line=17032, Process=88888, Thread=111111111111111, Session=aaaaaaaa-bbbb-cccc-dddd-eeeeeeeeeeee, Level=LM_ERROR) QP_ObjectManager::SubscriptionToTopicPath: Object Path is not found in OM::par_oid_set_ for OID<99,9,9999> (Time:2019-01-01 01:01:01.000001, Category=com.mqsoftware.ObjectManager, File=qp_object_manager.cpp, Line=4402, Process=88888, Thread=111111111111111, Session=aaaaaaaa-bbbb-cccc-dddd-eeeeeeeeeeee, Level=LM_ERROR) Subscription contains invalid oid.


     


    ANSWER:

    Run checktool in "fix" mode in order to resolve these issues which are mainly with "Orphaned Nodes", but also with "Orphaned Artifacts".
