    QUESTION:

Why don't some Recommended Service Levels appear on the Electronic Software Distribution Site?

    ANSWER:

Only cumulative Recommended Service Levels (RSL) are available on the Electronic Software Distribution (ESD) site. Cumulative RSL's have the naming convention RSLyymmc, where "c" denotes "cumulative". Cumulative RSL's contain six months (two three-month quarters) of maintenance.  More information can be found here:

           https://www.bmc.com/support/resources/mainframe-maintenance.html

For example, as of Spring 2019, the following RSL's are available on the ESD site and appear on the BMC RSL Image Files panel:

      RSL1707c
      RSL1801c
      RSL1807c
      RSL1901c

For example, RSL1904 is not a cumulative RSL, but rather a quarterly RSL and must be obtained using ISR (Internet Service Retrieval).
