    PRODUCT:

    BladeLogic Server Automation Suite

    COMPONENT:

    BladeLogic Server Automation

    APPLIES TO:

    BSA 8.9.2 and higher

    PROBLEM:

After running the recommended TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA) database cleanup or offline cleanup, we noticed that some job related tables are not having old data removed:

    job_nsh_param_runtime job_option_value job_nsh_parameter_value

    CAUSE:

These tables are part of the cleanupHistoricalData OldVersionJob cleanup

    SOLUTION:

Offline cleanup does not remove this data.

These tables are part of the cleanupHistoricalData OldVersionJob cleanup, added in 8.9.02.  This cleanup is now part of cleanupHistoricalData and can be called explicitly by running:

    blcli Delete cleanupHistoricalData OldVersionJob

The Data from the above tables will be only deleted if the related Jobs are being deleted from the Environment

If the job are being created and are not deleted in this scenario nothing will be deleted and the count of the tables will increase

Please observe the Database Cleanup Job Logs and check if the Jobs is successfully Completed and there are no INFO Message related to skipping objects
