Receiving "Error occurred while upgrading Execution Plan configuration" when upgrading App Visibility Portal from 11.3.01 to 11.3.02, and the upgrade installation failed

    PROBLEM:

     

    Receiving "Error occurred while upgrading Execution Plan configuration" when upgrading App Visibility Portal from 11.3.01 to 11.3.02, and the upgrade installation failed

     


    CAUSE:

    This issue occurs when some fields in the Execution Plans are empty after using the External APIs, and then using the original App Visibility Manager 11.3.02 installation file.


    SOLUTION:

     

    A new and updated App Visibility Manager 11.3.02 installation file was uploaded to the BMC EPD site as of May 30, 2019.

    If the issue still occurs then perform the following steps:

    Step 1) Download the new App Visibility Portal 11.3.02 installer at the following location:

    ftp://ftp.bmc.com/pub/tss/11.3.02/AVM/AD_J2EE_windows_108.zip

    Step 2) Uninstall App Visibility Portal 11.3.02

    Step 3) Reinstall App Visibility Portal 11.3.01, and revert back to your backup database
    or
    Revert back to a VM snapshot that has the App Visibility Portal 11.3.01 in a working state

    Step 4) Install the new App Visibility Portal 11.3.02 using the installation file from Step 1 above
