    QUESTION:

The Administration > Integration > Cloud Probes page on the Real User Collector has a large list of Cloud Probes that are no longer active. How to remove the old entries?

    ANSWER:

There are two ways to remove entries on this page.

    Accessing the web UI

    1. Log on to the web UI of the Real User Collector with a Administrator or Security officer account.

    2.
    3. Navigate to the Administration > Integration > Cloud Probes page

    4.
    5. Use the menu on the right of each entry to remove the entry

    6.
    7. There is no way to remove multiples entries this way

Accessing the system where the Real User Collector is deployed.

    1. Log on to the system where the Real User Collector is deployed with the root user

    2.
    3. Navigate to the installation directory of the Collector

    4.
    5. Navigate to the Cloud Probe entry directory with the following command

      1. # cd victor/persistance/cloud-probe/

      2.
    6.
    7. The directory contains a XML file for each Cloud Probe entry. The name of the file is the unique identification for each Cloud Probe that has connected to this Collector. Inside the file, look for the <lastKnownIP> field to see the IP address of the Cloud Probe system.

    8.
    9. Remove the Cloud Probe entry by removing the associated file. Multiple files can be removed this way.
