Pentaho Spoon Client missing CMDB steps or receiving error messages (Includes Video)

    PROBLEM:

    After installing the Spoon client software, the following error message was given for all CMDB steps when trying to use them:

    Error creating dialog
    Unable to create a dialog for step com.bmc.atrium.ngie.cmdbinput.CMDBInputDialog
    /org/ai/cmdb/utils/CMDBUtils
    [OK]

    Atrium Integrator client install issue


    CAUSE:

    Missing sequence in Pentaho Spoon client installation


    SOLUTION:

    During troubleshooting, it was found that the BMC AR Client Suite Developer Windows 9.1.03 Kit had been installed
    and had included Pentaho Spoon, so it was perceived that the Pentaho Spoon client
    had completed its installation.

    However, this is not the case.  As the full Atrium Integrator server comprises components from the following 
    three core installation systems:

    - AR Server
    - CMDB
    - Atrium Integrator

    Similarly, we have an installation sequence for the Pentaho Spoon client as well:
    1.)  AR Server Client Suite.  (In this case BMC AR Client Suite Developer Windows 9.1.03 Kit).
    2.)  Atrium Integrator Client.

    Once both installations have completed, the Pentaho Spoon client is fully installed.
