    PRODUCT:

    BMC Discovery

    COMPONENT:

    BMC Discovery 11.3

    APPLIES TO:

BMC Discovery after upgrading to the August 2019 TKU

    PROBLEM:

After upgrading to the August 2019 TKU, this message is seen on the CMDB Sync status page:

    Missing Classes:
The following classes are not defined in the CMDB, and will therefore be filtered out: BMC_RelatedTo

    SOLUTION:

    The doc at https://docs.bmc.com/docs/display/Configipedia/Product+content+TKU+2019-August-1 says:

For TKU August release we've introduced the following CMDB Sync mapping updates:
BMC_Tag has got new attributes: TagName and TagValue. (DRUD1-26842)
A new BMC_RelatedTo relationship class is now defined. (DRUD1-26842)

So for an older version of CMDB where BMC_RelatedTo is not present, this message will appear during CMDB Sync.

If there is no requirement to sync tags to the CMDB, this message can be disregarded.

The changes needed for both Atrium and RemedyForce CMDBs to enable tags to sync to CMDB are in their respective 19.08 releases.
