    APPLIES TO:

    Footprints 20.19.01

    PROBLEM:

    Summary:

Time-based business rules other than the "check every x minutes" can have the trigger changed to wrong value or Null value upon edit of rule.

This causes the rule to either run at an incorrect time or fail to run at all.

    Example 1.
Save a rule that should trigger every 4 hours on the 15 minute mark.
    Save and Publish

If you edit the rule, the rule shows it is set to run every 1 hour on the 4 minute mark.
If you save at this point without changing the Trigger time, the rule will be set to run at the wrong time.

    Example. 2
Set a rule to run every Wednesday at 10:30 am.

    Save and Publish

If you edit the rule, the rule shows the day is set to NULL, hours are NULL, and minutes is 10.

If you save at this point without changing the Trigger time, the rule will be set to run with an invalid choice and will not execute correctly.

    CAUSE:

    Defect DRZNZ-13668

    SOLUTION:

This issue is under review by the engineering team and this article will be updated when more information is available.

Whilst this defect changed the time from the front end GUI, the correct time will remain in the back end and the rule will run correctly until the Container is published.

    Workaround:
Change the value in the Trigger time before saving the rule.

Also we recommend putting the Trigger Criteria in the Description of the Business Rule for future reference
