    PRODUCT:

    MainView SRM Allocation

    APPLIES TO:

MainView SRM Allocation and MainView SRM StopX37// versions - 7.8 and 7.9.

    QUESTION:

When attempting to dynamically increase the TRCDD limit from the default value of 50 to 80 by submitting the following command:
T,TRCDD,80             (to increase the ddname limit to 80)

    Customer received the following results:
SVO5050E ERROR LOADING TRCDD FROM DD STEPLIB. BLDL FAILURE, MODULE NOT FOUND
SVO0301E LOAD FAILED FOR MODULE TRCDD

    ANSWER:

The customer needs to prefix the SET command with SVOS since the command is an SVOS type command.  Otherwise, SVOS attempts to load a module called TRCDD, which does not exist.  TRCDD is only a command, not a module.

It appears the customer is entering:

F MVSRM,T,TRCDD,nn             Where MVSRM is the jobname of the customer’s SVOS STC

They need to change the command as follows:

    F MVSRM,SVOS T,TRCDD,nn

    or

/SVOS T,TRCDD,nn       (where / is the default SUBCHAR command that can be set in the SVOS started task JCL)
