Why SAP jobs are not being intercepted by Control-M for SAP and keep in intercepted status in SAP Server?

    PROBLEM:

    - SAP jobs are not being intercepted by Control-M for SAP and keep in intercepted status in SAP Server
    - What is the function of "Detect Spawned Job" on the Control-M for SAP job template?

    SAP Detect Spawned Job


    CAUSE:

    Control-M for SAP job is not defined to detect spawned job or Control-M for SAP Extractor processes is not started


    SOLUTION:

    1. Ensure Control-M for SAP extractor process is started:
       - Unix: Run "ps -ef|grep xt" to ensure p_ctmxt process is running
       - Windows: Open the task manager and check p_ctmxt process is running

    2. If Control-M for SAP needs to extract a SAP job, "Detect Spawned Job" option need to be check and defined on the Control-M SAP job definition.
        Below show the template to be defined:
        Do review the parent Control-M for SAP job properties and ensure the job/folder template name exist in Control-M.
