    DETAILS:

What does the UIE report TOP  10 CICS TRANSACTIONS FOR SYSTEM xxxx SORTED BY COUNT show in regards to UOW transactions and how does Visualizer report these transactions?

In the UIE Summary report “TOP  10 CICS TRANSACTIONS FOR SYSTEM xxxx SORTED BY COUNT”, the CPU TIME field is the sum of the CPU time reported in the USRCPUT field in the 110 records for all CICS transactions.  The USRCPUT field will include the Db2 CPU time if the CICS transaction calls Db2.  The value in the UIE summary report is the actual value in the USRCPUT field – it is not adjusted to back out the Db2 CPU.

When UIE performs CICS-Db2 matching, it will back out the Db2 CPU for a CICS transaction to get a “CICS only” CPU value. This “CICS only” CPU is written to the Vis file and this also insures that the Db2 CPU is not double counted.   The original USRCPUT value is not written to the Vis file.  To get the UOW CPU, you would have to add the CICS CPU and the Db2 CPU.
