My Device Group is empty although it is populated by means of a free query which returns results
There are several possibilities
First step is to verify your Free Query returns results in BCM Console Query Preview panel : if you have no result or an error open a case to BCM Support and provide them with your Free Query SQL code and \Master\log\mtxagent.lo* files
If your Free Query returns results in preview screen but your Device group is empty then verify following points :
- Your Query is present in your "Device Group \ Dynamic Population \ Queries" node
- Group Dynamic population is not enabled : Verify that Group Status is 'active' in your "Device Group \ Dynamic Population" node
- Device Group Populator has not enough rights to see devices : Verify your "Device Group \ Dynamic Population \ Queries \Populator" is set with an administrator account that can see all devices you need to have in this Device Group
- Group evaluation process is stuck or not yet executed : Could you right click in your "Device Group \ Dynamic Population \ Queries" right side panel and select 'Reevaluate Members'
Then collect mtxagent.log , mtxagent.log.1 and mtxagent_audit.log files from \Master\log directory. Open a case to BMC support team and attach your files to the case.
