"External component has thrown an exception" error occurs in Track-It! 2019

    Getting error message "External component has thrown an exception" when making changes or updates in forms like ticket, asset etc.


    A product issue that affects a small number of customers depending on their system configuration.


    If you are experiencing this issue, please open a new support case and refer to Track-It! Defect Number- Defect Number DRZOZ-20257- "External component has thrown an exception" error when trying to save ticket in Track-It! 2019.

    Apply the hotfix:

    1. Take backup of "LogicHelpDesk.dll" and "LogicPurchaseItem.dll" file from "<Install>\Dlls\" folder.

    2. Replace the respective file from the attached zip file.

    3. Run IISReset.

    4. Login to TrackIt and verify the issue.

    Note: In case you face any issue, you can replace the backuped dlls at above place.
