    PRODUCT:

    TrueSight Infrastructure Management

    COMPONENT:

    TSIM Integration Service

    APPLIES TO:

    10.x and 11.x

    PROBLEM:

    TSIM Agent and Cell does not start after Reboot
    Installed TSIM Agent and Cell with out the box settings. Rebooted the server and ISN and Cell do not start.

    SOLUTION:

    Attached please find
    - a start/stop script for the ISN called TSIMAgent_StartStop.sh
    - a start/stop script for the cell called TSIMCell_StartStop.sh

    The files assume that the TSIMAgent and cell are installed in the default /opt/bmc directory.
    If not, please modify the scripts to point to your installation location.

    Save this file as /etc/rc.d/init.d/TSIMAgent
    Ensure that the ./rc2.d through ./rc5.d directories have the following links created for the start and kill scripts
    For TSIMAgent:
    lrwxrwxrwx   1 root root   19 Jan 25 17:19 S81pronto.0.1 -> ../init.d/TSIMAgent
    lrwxrwxrwx   1 root root   19 Jan 25 17:19 K81pronto.0.1 -> ../init.d/TSIMAgent
    For the cell:
    lrwxrwxrwx   1 root root   27 Jan 25 17:19 S99mc_<cellName> -> ../init.d/mc_<cellName>
    lrwxrwxrwx   1 root root   27 Jan 25 16:53 K99mc_<cellName> -> ../init.d/mc_<cellName>

    Run:
    chkconfig --list

    Do you see your init.d scripts in the output?

    If not, add them.  For example:
    chkconfig --add
    TSIMAgent
    chkconfig --add mc_<cellName>

    Then set the run level:
    chkconfig --level 3
    TSIMAgent on
    chkconfig --level 3 mc_<cellName>
     on
