    PRODUCT:

    BladeLogic Server Automation Suite

    COMPONENT:

    BladeLogic Server Automation

    PROBLEM:

Executing catalog update job on RHEL catalog produces below error in Job Run Log

Validation Error :- BLPAT1225 - Failed to run reposync on repo directory. Http error occured.
Possible remediation steps :- Please check the redhat certicates provided in patch global configuration. They might have been revoked by redhat and you might need to download new certificates from redhat site.
For more details, please check the yum_metadata_generator.log file generated in repository location.

If you go through yum_metadata_generator.log, you can see messages like below

yum.Errors.NoMoreMirrorsRepoError: failure: repodata/repomd.xml from rhel-7-server-eus-rhn-tools-rpms: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
    https://cdn.redhat.com/content/eus/rhel/server/7/7Server/x86_64/rhn-tools/os/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] HTTPS Error 403 - Forbidden
HTTPS Error occured while executing reposync. HTTP Error 403 count: 13, Command Exit Code - 1

    SOLUTION:

If you have already tried to renew entitlement certificates and still getting the same error, please follow below steps

    • You need to confirm if the failing channel (or channels) are allowed in the consumed subscription
To check that, execute below command from the repo server

                        rct cat-cert <path to entitlement cert> | grep -i <channel name>

If you don't get any output means the used subscription is not allowed to download rpms for that channel.
As a workaround you can remove that channel from Catalog, and continue with update.

If that channel is required, you would need to check available subscriptions and probably change the enrollment to a different subscription in which that channel could be downloaded.
