    "Could not load bmcesi. May not be able to connect to Integration Service.Make sure proxy_lib variable is correctly defined in patrol.conf."

    ANSWER:

    This error can arise due to multiple reasons. Please try the below probable solutions:

    A. The config/history files are corrupt. In order to rectify this, please perform the steps below:
    -- Stop the Patrol Agent service
    -- Rename .\Patrol3\config
    -- Rename .\Patrol3\log
    -- Start the Patrol Agent service

    B. Appropriate libraries are missing. In order to rectify this, please perform the steps below:
    => Modify registry entry to make sure proxy_lib file to correct location;

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BMC Software\PATROL Agent]
    "esi_lib80"="none"
    "esi_lib100"="none"
    "esi_lib"="none"
    "proxy_lib100"="C:\\Program Files\\BMC Software\\common\\security\\bin_v3.0\\Windows-x86\\bmcesi100.dll"

    => Make sure patrol.conf is correct;
    Check and compare the following content with correct one:

    [ESI]
       esi_lib = none
       esi_lib32=none
       esi_lib64=none
       esi_lib80 = none
       esi_lib80_32 = none
       esi_lib80_64 = none
       proxy_lib = none
       proxy_lib32 = none
       proxy_lib64 = none

    C. Confirm if the PATROL Agent and Integration Service are installed at the correct security levels:
    One of the other main reason for this error is agent installed on wrong security level. Verify if all the components on the server installed on the correct security level.
