    QUESTION:

    Unable to Import BMC Smart Content to My Remedyforce Org


    ANSWER:

     

    This issue is due to a Record Type created for Base Element object.

    Temporarily Deactivate the Record Type:

      
       
    1. Go to Set up > Profile > Record types > and remove record type for Base element.
    2.  
    3. Go to Set up > Object > Base Element > Record Type. Edit record type and make it InActive > Click Save.
    4.  
    5. Import Smart Content.
    6.  
    7. Activate Record Type and assign to the required profile.
    8.  
    9. Verify the issue is fix.
      

     

      

    NOTE: If any new Base Element object record is created by importing Smart Content, for that record, Record Type value will be blank.  If required the record type for the Smart Content can set using the Data Loader or via the Developer Console.
