How do I get the Licensing Usage report for DWP?

Please, use the BMC License Usage Collection Utility Version 4.7.01

NOTE: This will only give you a list of users that have/are currently using DWP-  Usage Reports.

If you need more details, such as:

    • Am I entitled to Basic or Advanced?

    • How many DWP  licenses do we have?

    • Can I get more trial licenses?

    • Can I extend my trial period?

Contact your Account Manager / Sales representative.

The license report usage tool must configured for DWP / MyIT (Not DWP Catalog) and the report must be run against DWP only,  this is how BMC validates the licenses that the client is using, against which he has actually purchased.

You can buy named or packaged licenses/shared licenses (floating type). If you have further questions, you should check it with your Sales Representative.

    From DWP18.11 and earlier.

The ITSM / SRM licenses give you access to the DWP / MyIT application, but you have to purchase DWP Catalog licensing, separately.
Next, you have to install the Catalog and user license in DWP Catalog. If not, users can not use the Catalog.

    From DWP 19.02 and beyond.

AR Server License for DWP Catalog and of users is embedded in the product, this means you don't need install it from that version on, as this is already "preconfigured" in DWP C for both AR Server and users, but obviously yo will have to acquire the product, because BMC runs licenses audits to validate that you actually entitled to use the product and that you have the right amount of licenses.

From version 18.11 and earlier, you have to buy and install the license that the BMC Sales staff gives you, in the manner indicated in the following documentation or KA:

Your license entitlements determine which products you can download. The BMC Digital Workplace and BMC Digital Workplace Advanced products are part of the Digital Workplace solution.

You can download the components mentioned herein from the Electronic Product Distribution website. Use the same user name and password that you use to access the Customer Support website.

If you do not have a current license for the components you want, contact a BMC sales representative by calling 800 793 4262. If you cannot download the components, contact a sales representative and ask for a physical kit to be shipped to you.

You cannot use the BMC Action Request System Server as a stand-alone product.
The context of this limitation is as follows:

Remedy AR System is supplied as a foundation component for deployment of BMC Digital Workplace. Use of Remedy AR System is limited to running the components within BMC Digital Workplace and implementing integrations with providers associated with delivering the BMC Digital Workplace solution.

Three fixed user licenses are provided with Remedy AR System for performing BMC Digital Workplaceadministrative tasks. Additional users may not be added until additional Remedy AR System application and user licenses are purchased.
