    QUESTION:

It appears the line command TIME works fine in the WMRGP view, which allows a user to select more than one interval.  However the line command TIME does not work in the WMRG view.  Should TIME be used in the WMRG view?

    ANSWER:

WMRGP is a summary view.  This summarizes multiple records together.  So when the TIME command is used, the records from multiple intervals are combined together.

WMRG is a summary view so that the records for each period can be summed or average together to provide the data, as there is a separate interval record for each period.  But there is no way to summarize the multiple periods together, but not the multiple intervals.  Therefore you can not use the TIME command on this view.
