    QUESTION:

If you plan on changing an existing IMSID, what changes would be needed to the MainView for IMS Online product?

    ANSWER:

    1) If you are sharing the UBBPARM dataset across multiple IMS / PAS SUBSYSTEMS. Ensure you have created / cloned the old IMSID’s xxxxSYS member to the new IMSID xxxxSYS member

A common mistake is not creating the new xxxxSYS member and you will see the message below in the IMS Control region job log during IMS initialization. This indicates that MVIMS did not find your correct SS but is using the default SS (SSA1)

Warning message "IM0762W  BBI/SS -SSA1- ADDRESS SPACE NOT UP"

    2) Check the BBIJNTxx member  to update the IMSID or ALIAS (if used) for each TARGET= that the IMSID is changing. This is an optional parameter and may not be defined in your environment
