    QUESTION:

    MVTA - Cannot connect to NGL after upgrade to NGL 10.4


    ANSWER:

    This is NOT a DBC or NGL issue. It is a  OZI v3.9 and MVTA issue.  OZI v3.9 changes the installation procedure for MVTA and MVTA has code changes to ignore the MTAPRMxx NGLID and LOGSET parameters. MVTA then uses NGLID=MTA1 and forms a logset name from the system id and NGLID.

    The PTF BPL3000 would fix this issue.

    As a work around until the PTF BPL3000 becomes available, set up a NGL agent with PIID=MTA1 and use an old $946 job to define the 
    new LOGSET Name format is - TA&SYSCLONE_NGLPIID
