    QUESTION:

When displaying the PDX processing options list with BMCDBU, the first two members in the list are (DFLT) and (GLBL).  How are these two members created?

    ANSWER:

The DFLT member is created when the IMS environment is introduced.  It contains the BMC default values only.   The GLBL member is created when you create either the global ULPPARMS or the IMS Specific ULP@imsid.  The DBD specific members are created to allow overrides at the DBD level. The order of precedence is dbd overrides GLBL which overrides DFLT.
