On Windows systems, the P_CTMAS process sometimes fails to get a response from P_CTMAM process, in some cases this happens due to P_CTMAM process shutdown (default is 600 seconds, which is 10 mins).

    CAUSE:

CAR00105722 Windows - AS failed to get response from AM Process, in some cases this happens due to AM process shutdown (default is 600 seconds).

    SOLUTION:

    - Do install Control-M/Agent for UNIX and Microsoft Windows 9.0.18 Fixpack 2 to resolve the CAR below:
CAR00105722 Windows - AS failed to get response from AM Process, in some cases this happens due to AM process shutdown (default is 600 seconds).

    - In the event where install the above fix is not possible, do apply the below solution to adjust the Control-M/Agent max idle time to reduce the occurrence of this incident :

    1. As an Administrator, go to Start -> Run, the regedit

    2. Navigate to:
        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BMC Software\Control-M/Agent\AM_CONFIG

    3. Backup a copy of this registry hive - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BMC Software\Control-M/Agent\AM_CONFIG

    4. Edit value for AM_MAX_IDLE_TIME (default is 600 for 10 minutes) to a higher value ( recommended 3600 which is 1 hour)

    5. Save and close registry editor

    6. Stop and start the Control-M/Agent services from services.msc.
( If p_ctmam.exe process is still running under task manager after shutting down the services, please end the process manually before starting the services for the change to take effect )
