After migrating Control-M/Enterprise Manager to version 9.0.00 using the migration toolkit, passwords become invalid and users are unable to login with the message:  You are not authorized to login into Workload Automation

    Control-M/Enterprise Manager 9.0.00 and higher



    PROBLEM:

    After migrating the Control-M/Enterprise Manager database to version 9.0.00 using the Migration Toolkit, Local EM users are unable to login and receive the message:
    You are not authorized to login into Workload Automation


    CAUSE:

    Differences between version 9.0.00 and older versions with password hashing


    SOLUTION:

    1) Re-import only the users using the util -import -type user (or re-run upgrade process) whichever is preferred
    2) Change the EM System Parameter "UserChangePassword'  to 1 using the Control-M Configuration Manager (CCM)
    3) Recycle the GUI Server component from the Control-M Configuration Manager
    4) Verify that the users are now able to login
