    PRODUCT:

Control-M/Agent for UNIX and Microsoft Windows

    COMPONENT:

Control-M/Agent for UNIX and Microsoft Windows

    APPLIES TO:

All versions of Control-M/Agent for UNIX and Microsoft Windows

    PROBLEM:

    - What is the function of the "Job has not been submitted yet" under the "On Do Actions" under the "Action" tab of the Control-M/Agent job definition?
    - What is the function of the ON Action "Job has not been submitted yet" for a job executed on a Control-M/Agent?

    CAUSE:

CAR00047826 : "Job has not been submitted yet" is not included in the documentation

    SOLUTION:

    - CAR00047826 has been implemented in version 9.0.18 to include the reference to this parameter in the documentation.
Example from version 9.0.18 (see the latest documentation for any updated information):
       https://documents.bmc.com/supportu/9.0.18/help/Main_help/en-US/index.htm#93291.htm

    - This notification is triggered in rare instances when a job is submitted to a Control-M/Agent for execution but for some reason the Agent sets the job to a "Not Submitted" state and sends this reply back to Control-M/Server.
It can mean something went wrong during the short time frame between when the Agent is preparing to start the job and it is being started by the target system.
For example, if there were a failure during communication with the target application for the job, or some failure during startup of the process on the operating system.
