TrueSight App Visibility Manager Server
App Visibility Portal
App Visibility Portal - All versions
What are the differences between the following App Visibility event classes?
Below for the explanation of these event classes:
This is an old event class (back in the 2.x versions), but they are no inactive and are no longer used
This event class is active and used for all App Visibility Manager (AVM) events within the App Visibility Portal. When TrueSight Presentation Server (TSPS) is connected to the TrueSight Infrastructure Management (TSIM) then the App Visibility Portal will populate the events to TSIM. The event information are in the class slots.
To be more accurate, the APM_Event_v2 event class extends APM_Event with slot apm_application_id. Practically, the base APM_Event is not used directly any more.
APM_Event_v2 does not show the SIlkperformer error details. As of version 11.3.01 this option is not available due to software limitation. RFE already opened for this however it will be considered by the Product Management team.
This event class also extends APM_Event and provides APM Application Context level events as documented below:
This event class is created automatically by TSIM and reflects the severity of each APM application (there will be one event of this type per impacted APM Application).
This event class is not created or maintenance by the App Visibility components. Instead this event class is used for ticketing integration in TSPS.
